OUR STORY OF SEVA
A Home for Pilgrims on the Banks of the Ganga, Since 1980

How It All Began
In 1980, a small group of devoted individuals from Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab, planted a seed of seva in the holy city of Haridwar. What began as a modest effort to shelter pilgrims has, over four decades, grown into one of Haridwar's most trusted dharamshalas - a testament to the faith and generosity of the Mandi Gobindgarh Charitable Trust and the many hands that have nurtured it along the way.
"From a modest shelter with a handful of rooms, the Dharamshala has 75 rooms dedicated entirely to pilgrims -while never losing sight of its founding spirit: service without expectation. Every brick here carries the blessings of Ganga Maiya and the quiet devotion of those who built it."
WHO WE ARE
Our dharamshala is run by the Mandi Gobindgarh Charitable Trust, guided by President Sh. Raj Kumar Goyal and a dedicated committee of 14 trustees who oversee every aspect of the property with care and commitment. Together, they ensure that every pilgrim who walks through our doors is welcomed with warmth, dignity and the true spirit of seva.

Our Present Trustees
Today, the legacy continues under the stewardship of our 14 present trustees, led by President Sh. Raj Kumar Goyal. Each trustee carries forward the founding vision of the Mandi Gobindgarh Charitable Trust, ensuring every rupee donated and every service offered at our Haridwar dharamshala remains rooted in transparency and seva. Their collective experience guides daily operations - from pilgrim stays to community meals - keeping our commitment to Ganga Maiya's pilgrims as strong today as it was in 1980.
We Believe
in Community

Our Temple
The Vishnu Mandir
At the heart of our dharamshala stands a beautiful Vishnu Mandir. This sacred space offers our guests a peaceful place for prayer and reflection during their stay.

Our Commitment to Seva
Seva Beyond Our Walls
For over 40 years, we have carried forward a daily tradition of service -offering seva to sadhus and saints every morning at 9 AM, and to the needy at 6 AM. This is a promise we've kept since our very first day, and one we intend to keep for generations to come.

Growing With Purpose
From a Small Beginning to a Trusted Name
What started as few rooms built with humble intentions has become a well-maintained retreat, with 75 rooms dedicated entirely to pilgrim stays. Every improvement we've made - from clean, air-conditioned rooms to a spacious dining hall - has been guided by one simple goal: making every guest's journey to Haridwar a little more comfortable.
Our Promise, Beyond These Walls
